Step inside Fourways and you will find a warm and elegant care home, carefully designed to meet our residents’ needs.
There are quiet corners to be alone or with loved ones. Two cosy lounges to relax in, with comfortable seats, a television, books, and large windows to let lots of light in. A stylish but inviting dining room provides a sociable area for mealtimes. We have our own hair salon where our hairdresser visits weekly to increase well-being. There is a passenger lift to the second floor to ensure all areas are accessible.
You will find each of our twenty bedrooms light and airy. The long windows make a lovely spot to sit at, overlooking our front and rear gardens. Each room is ensuite and equipped to meet the individual needs of the person staying in it. Bring your own furniture and ornaments to make it feel like home.

Large doors open onto flat, accessible paths, with walkways laid out to invite a gentle stroll amongst the various plants and flowers. Stay a while in our summer house, tucked away to the rear of the garden, or join others out on the terrace, a perfect place for a cup of tea and a chat next to our olive trees. Our gardener does a fantastic job maintaining this tranquil and safe space around the house – it is no surprise that we were a winner of Sidmouth in Bloom 2018 and 2019 in our category. In 2022 our garden won the Gold Award.
Sidmouth has inspired many visitors – including Poet Laureate John Betjeman, who wrote about its ‘timeless charm’.
We are perfectly placed to make the most of this. An easy five-minute walk from Fourways takes you to the seafront, which is lovely for a wander along the prom at any time of day. We have a wheelchair accessible vehicle to assist with activites outside of Fourways to the shops, cafés and activities in the town centre, giving you regular opportunities to continue to enjoy life in the wider community.
