Choosing a residential home is a big decision. Our members of staff will become an important part of your daily life and we take the trust you place in us seriously. We are passionate about providing you with the best care and making you feel at home with us.

Treating you with dignity and respect. Our experienced staff know that these are essential elements in helping you to feel safe and settled with us.

We are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and our staff have thorough background and DBS checks when they join us. Training is a priority, with an emphasis on ongoing development and a willingness to train to meet our residents’ needs. We have staff champions who keep up to date and share information on the latest guidance across key areas, including Infection Control, Training, End of Life and Medication. Managers are hands-on and many of the staff have been with us for years, creating a stable and knowledgeable environment that nurtures newer team members. 

People are at the heart of what we do and we celebrate equality and diversity, creating an inclusive care home that is welcoming to all. Above all, you can feel confident that our staff will treat you with kindness and empathy. There is always somebody on hand to speak to. Dr Mehul Vibhakar Patel - Nominated Individual and Director

Annie Hannant - Registered Manager
Annie has 24 years’ experience in the care sector, mostly Domiciliary care but has experience in Residential and Nursing Homes also. She has been with Fourways since 2011,she has worked in the office since 2012 always continuing to do care work outside of office hours to keep in contact and be aware of people`s needs and to work alongside the care staff .She has completed her Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care and gained herself a Distinction grade. She previously completed her NVQ3 in Health and Social Care and an A1 Assessor Award. Annie is part of the on call team and will always help to resolve any concerns after office hours. Annie is very dedicated to her job and is always trying to find innovative ways to enhance the quality of care to our clients to ensure that their care is person-centred and outcomes are achieved.

Annie is the Caldicott Guardian for Fourways ( Sidmouth) Ltd.

Linda Grant, Care Manager
Having been with us for over thirty years, Linda is very much a part of our Fourways family of staff and residents. She has NVQ qualifications at levels 3 and 4 in Health and Social Care, as well as RMA Leadership and Management, and is proactive in maintaining our high standards of care. Building strong connections with the rest of the team is an integral part of this, ensuring that the care we provide is focused on the individual needs of each person staying with us.

Linda also won the Stars of Social Care Home Award “The Amazing Activities Coordinator 2026”.

Joanne Carlos, Deputy Care Manager
A former midwife, Joanne has been with us for over nineteen years. Her kind and caring nature, along with her ability to deliver outstanding care, makes her a valued member of our management team. With NVQ qualifications at levels 3 and 5 in Health and Social Care, Joanne's remit covers many aspects of the business, including Head of Medication Administration as well as developing our social media presence, to help loved ones to keep up to date with the latest news and events at Fourways.

Hollie Turner, Deputy Care Manager
With a background in community care, Hollie has been at Fourways for over fifteen years. She has NVQ qualifications at Level 2, 3 & 4 Social Care and Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult and Social Care Level 5, and has shown her dedication to caring for our residents with kindness and compassion throughout her time with us. As Deputy Care Manager, she shows the same kindness as a mentor to our apprentices and newer members of staff, and is also a Fire Marshall for the home. She has a love of horses, which is shared by many of our residents

Kishori Jaikar, Head of Training and Compliance
Kishori a former nurse, Kishori has been with us for over a year. Dedicated to the people she looks after, and to the training and development of staff, she has achieved a Deputy Manager position at Fourways and leads our Training Centre. Kishori has train the trainer qualifications in the areas she teaches and supervises in, and is looking forward to developing her training skills further in the future. Kishori also has qualification Level 3 Social Care and Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult and Social Care Level 5. Kishori has participated in Devon Proud to Care recruitment campaign in prompting Social Care opportunties across Devon

Cathy Rant - Endorsed Training & Care Consultant Provider

Perform2Excel is an Endorsed Training and Care Consultant Provider with Skills for Care. Cathy started Perform2Excel in 2011 when she returned to clinical practice after teaching in Further Education for ten years, supporting up to 75 homes across the South of England.  Between 2017 and 2021 she managed a social care service and in 2022 began working, part time, with Devon Training Hub supporting Social Care Providers to host Nursing Students on placement. Cathy's career of nearly 35 years in the NHS, Further Education and the indpendent Social Care Sector has given her a wealth of knowledge and experience that she brings to her role working with Fourways Training Centre. Cathy supports Fourways in-house trainers in delivering mandatory and bespoke courses to meet the needs of Fourways staff, and is thrilled to be part of their Approved Centre status with Trainer Courses Ltd.

The rest of the care team

We are a truly diverse family, with staff able to speak Czech, Filipino and Indian, and coming from a variety of care backgrounds. Underpinning this is the commitment from each team member to supporting our residents through kindness, and by developing activities and programmes to enrich their lives. Putting the person at the centre of our care has always been an important part of our ethos.

As a supportive team, we always enjoy nurturing new members and apprentices – and are proud that some of our staff have gone on to become qualified nurses and a counsellor.

Each member of staff works tirelessly to develop a sense of family for our residents, so that Fourways is truly their home.
